Raggles goes in search of a volcano and Will learns all about science experiments at Big Bear’s den. When Big Bear's oven starts steaming and rumbling like a real eruption, Raggles knows just what to do!

RAGGLES is reading a book about volcanoes.  He wishes he could see a real volcano and wonders where the nearest one is.  ROSIE doesn’t think there are any around here, and she’s quite glad about that!

RAGGLES rushes to tell OAKLEY he might be sitting on top of a volcano, which could explode at any minute!  OAKLEY explains that hills and volcanoes might be the same shape, but his hill is definitely NOT a volcano.  RAGGLES is disappointed, however OAKLEY is full of information about volcanoes, and what happens when hot lava from the centre of the earth pushes its way upwards.

WILL is in his workshop carrying out science experiments but wishes he could so something more exciting.  He visits BIG BEAR who explains that cooking is a science. Today for instance – he’s baking bread and yeast makes tiny bubbles in the dough to help it rise.  WILL is excited and has a go at preparing the dough, adding more yeast than he should…

When RAGGLES sees smoke coming from Big Bear’s den, he shouts a warning that a volcano is going to erupt!  BIG BEAR finds bread oozing out from the oven.  It’s rumbling, it’s steaming… even the ground is vibrating!  ROSIE makes sure everyone is safe and WILL apologises for not following the recipe.  When the bread stops expanding, BIG BEAR brings out plates and a big pot of jam so everyone can help eat it.  RAGGLES says it wasn’t a volcano but it was certainly an eruption!
