Raggles has got too many toys to fit in his hammock, so Rosie suggests he gives some away. Raggles gets so carried away that he even gives Bluebird his favourite whistle but soon regrets it.  Rosie suggests they make a toy box so that everyone can share their toys.

Raggles has got so many toys, Rosie suggests that he could get rid of some.  Raggles reluctantly chooses to give some toys away to his friends and when he sees how pleased they are with their unexpected gifts; he gets carried away.

Bluebird admires his beloved whistle and excitedly Raggles gives it to her.  Bluebird is delighted and immediately puts down her kazoo, but she is a dreadful whistle player and everyone politely asks her to go away whenever she is near.

Soon, Raggles starts to miss his whistle and is even more upset to see the others swapping around their new toys.  Raggles thinks his giving has gone wrong!

He hears the dreadful whistle sounds and finds Bluebird in the orchard having a little practice.  Raggles wants his whistle back, but Bluebird is oblivious.  Feeling generous, she offers him her kazoo.  Rosie tries to explain to poor Raggles that by giving away his whistle he no longer owns it.  Raggles is upset… he has given away everything he cared about.

Rosie turns to Saffie for advice.  Perhaps she should not have told Raggles to give his toys away…  Saffie suggests Raggles could share his toys with his friends.  Saffie gives Rosie a beautiful box which she fills with the toys Raggles gave away, plus extra toys from everyone else.  It’s a toy share box.  Raggles can still use the toys along with everyone else including his beloved whistle!  Raggles is delighted.
